What is Louisiana Creole and how did this culture come about?

How did the culture begin?

Louisiana Creole is a French Creole language spoken by the mixed Louisiana Creole people of the state of Louisiana. The language consists of elements of French, Native American, Spanish, and West African roots.

Louisiana Creole refers to Americans of various racial descent who are descended from the Colonial French settlers of Louisiana known as French Creole, in addition to African Americans, and Native Americans [3] before it became part of the United States in 1803 with the Louisiana Purchase with claim to the Creole culture and Creole cuisine. Unlike many other ethnic groups in the United States, Creoles did not migrate from a native country. The commonly accepted definition today is for the community whose members are a mixture of mainly French, African American, and Native-American heritage. There is general agreement that the term "Creole" derives from the Portuguese word crioulo, which means a slave born in the master’s household. This means creoles are generally decendents of slaves. Some may not have each ethnic heritage, and some may have additional ancestries.

For people who are going to continue to state on their high-fat diets, and even for people who don’t that live in Georgia, it is very important for them to have some type of Georgia Health Insurance. Good Morning NOLA!  Happy Hump day, today is Wednesday for those of you who have lost track.  Wasn’t it a beautiful day yesterday.  That breeze blowing through the Quarter was perfect. Spring has always been my favorite time to be in the Quarter. It will be sunny this morning but will warm up as the day goes on.The high will be eighty-two degrees today.  But look for cooler temps tonight with a low in the sixties. It will be a little breezy which is always welcome when the humidity is seventy percent.  The forecast is showing just a few scattered storms this week probably on Friday.  It never hurts to keep the umbrella handy. Good Morning NOLA! Happy Easter to everyone!   What a beautiful Sunday.  Here’s hoping you all have a marvelous day. Spring Break is this week so I’m sure the city will be hopping.  The Easter bunny has done his job and so have I.  Our  high will be in the eighties today.  It is great weather to get out and enjoy some outdooor get togethers. There will be some clouds today and possibly a stray shower or two even though the chance is only ten percent today.  It never hurts to keep the umbrella handy.  We will have a couple of windy days and our rain chance gets higher as the week progresses.  Good Morning NOLA! How are you today?  I am doing pretty well.  I am really enjoying our weather. Since the cool front came through on Monday our overnight lows have been nice and in the fifties again.  This gives us a little nip in the air to start the day and warming up into the seventies ofr our daily high.  It is partly cloudy today so it shouldn’t be a really warm seventy four degrees.  There are scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow so we have to resort to carrying an umbrella for Thursday as well as Friday and Saturday of this week. Let’s hope it just passes us by. Saturday brings us a seventy percent chance of rain but clearing for Sunday. This trend should take us through Mardi Gras which overall has been pretty awesome weatherwise. What a great time to be in the Big Easy.   Have a great day and enjoy whatever you decide to do today.  See you in NOLA!
