The great French accordionist, Clifton Chenier, mixes rock and blues with his unique version of Zydeco music, a pulsating combination of Cajun French with African undertones. The film winds his music through the bayous and byways of the countryside.

Yeah I liked that song! He is cool as hell!
Grabowski’s awesome <3 I’m glad he told us about this dude too. After hearing that song, My Maytag Done Broke Down, remember? I had to hear me some more Sauce Boss.
My jazz professor Bob Grabowski told me about him today.
Pretty cool!!
I just saw the Sauce Boss at the Blues City Cafe in Memphis last night. It was a great show, and the gumbo was awsome.
Bill has a passion for food, for music, for life, and for helping … the magic ingredients for spreading the “gospel of gumbo”! Let’s put aside our differences, sit down to the dinner, and maybe we can work things out! Love you, man!
Brings back memories when The Sauce Boss played Mt.Tremblant Quebec I was in a wheel chair then but I’m fine now. Must have been the Bosses GUMBO!!!
It really is good to see The Sauce Boss on YouTube, and in fine shape at the age of 60. Happy Birthday Bill Wharton!!!!!!

SAUCE BOSS RULES!!! I am so glad that Bill Wharton has finally appeared on You Tube so that others may now experience his unique talents. Please be advised that a You Tube video is nothing like the live show (for the ears or the tastebuds!). Check out his schedule at saucebossdotcom!
Thank you Les Blank and Maureen Gosling for capturing this on film.
Yes! I love it thank you
Was he yelling at that dude for hitting on his lady at the beginning?
Triste y hermoso!
merci beaucoup from the other side of the ocean
Louisiana God’s country!
Sounds from a (sadly) lost world.
beautiful footage!
Clifton Chenier, KING of the Zydeco!
down the train tracks again
Well, the song -is- called “I’m Coming Home” haha….
Fucking awesome song!
Damn
I would say more but damn…
Wow, so many memories of Louisiana and the way it was. Thanks for posting this.
I think who ever put this documentary together did an excellent job of fusing the mood of Chenier’s song with the everyday scenes from southwest louisiana. The part right after the kid crossing the tracks displays the beauty of rural Louisiana.
So, so good. Nobody does it this good anymore. Thank you Les Blank and long live the work of Mr. Chenier!
man its a old video what did you think?
but seriously though thank you for this video and dry wood, its good to look back at the old creole days that my parents and grandparents talk about
