Good Morning NOLA!  It’s a beautiful Tuesday in the neighborhood. Very exciting stuff happening on this end.  Through 8pm: Mostly sunny with temperatures steady or falling to near 85F. Winds ESE at 10 to 15 mph.  Mostly clear tonight. Low 74F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.  There is always something going on in the city as usual.  Check out the new exhibit at the THNOC.  This city never sleeps so don’t miss a thing . I hope your  plans include music.  It is good for the soul. The weather should cooperate so get out and enjoy.  The week ahead looks pretty good. Don’t worry about those scattered showers over the week ahead but all in all looks great. Questions about the Louisiana Culinary Institute.?

Does the Louisiana Culinary Institute mainly teach Cajun food?
I’ve been wanting to go to a Culinary school for quite some time now. The best thing that I’ve come up with in Louisiana was a community college nearby with a Culinary Arts program that is pretty good.
I would like to go somewhere slightly bigger and more well known, but I DON’T want to go anywhere in Louisiana where they are going to teach me Cajun food. I want to be knowledgeable about EVERYTHING in the field; and besides, I don’t like Cajun food, so I don’t want to cook it.

If anyone knows anything about the Louisiana Culinary Institue, please let me know.

The Louisiana Culinary Institute is an excellent culinary school. They do not focus on cajun food, they offer a more diverse degree program. I think there is one cajun class that is optional to take.

According to Louisiana “Age of Consent Laws” (see link, below), this falls under the category of “Felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile”..i.e, rape.

She met her sperm donor at church (nice!).
Anyone wanna bet that 19-year old Casey Aldridge won’t stick around to play the role of pappa?

What kind of message does this send to America’s youth?

I suppose Jamie was jealous of all the well-deserved criticism her no-talent older sister was getting for being a drunk, drugged-out, no-talent mom-from-hell redneck wreck.

Nickelodeon should drop Jamie like a hot potato if not on moral grounds then for legal reasons.

What’s your view on this – is it okay for little girls to get knocked up?
Or, should we just coddle the little darlin’ and say “tisk-tisk, what will be will be”?

I about choked when I read this on the news:
“Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana — “so it can have a normal family life.”

“Normal”?
There is nothing normal about a minor having a baby.

how many hours travel from new Orleans, Louisiana to Bay town, Texas?

It takes about 5 hours and 15 minutes to drive from New Orleans to Baytown. It is about 325 miles. I have provided a link that will give you driving directions, etc.
