Good Morning NOLA!   Okay what happened to our spring weather? It was a little chilly if you were out last night .  That was  really a little suprise for some of the area.  The clouds should move out by this afternoon leaving us with a little cooler temps. Grab a jacket or a sweater before you head out. Now our rain chances have decreased for the next few days.   The forecast is showing more rain for later in the week too. It is only suppose to be isolated thunder storms but be prepared.  I will have the umbrella at the ready but there is plenty of cover in the Quarter.  What’s a little rain after all? The sun should make its appearance again just in time for the weekend. There will be lots going on as usual.  I am taking a break so I will not be at the 1850′s House Store this weekend but will be back on the Square the following weekend. So make plans to come out a get your personalized copies of “I Love You Bigger Than The Sky!” and “IF I Were A French Quarter Rat”.  Whatever you decide to do today, enjoy! 12 Stones is a post-grunge band from Mandeville, Louisiana. Lead vocalist Paul McCoy was also featured in the Evanescence single “Bring Me to Life”, for which he won a Grammy.

The four band members met in Mandeville, Louisiana, a small suburb north of New Orleans, and within 15 months were signed to a record deal with Wind-up Records.

“Shadows” from Potter’s Field was used in a trailer for the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. “Photograph” (also from Potter’s Field) appeared on the Elektra movie soundtrack 2005. “My Life” from their self-titled album was featured on the soundtrack of The Scorpion King in 2002. “Broken” (also from the self-titled album) served as the official theme song for WWE’s Judgment Day pay-per-view in May 2002 and “Home” (also from the self-titled album) was the song used for the WWE Desire video for Kurt Angle. The band also recorded the song “Let Go” exclusively for the Daredevil movie soundtrack. Songs “Running out of Pain” and “Back Up” were used on Cheating Death, Stealing Life – The Eddie Guerrero Story.

In November 2009, the band recorded their fourth studio album, with producer David Bendeth. “We Are One”, the first single from the new album, was released on April 6. The song Premiered on noisecreep on 29 March 2010, the very same day being leaked to radio by WBSX (97.9X) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Recently, “We Are One” was used by World Wrestling Entertainment as the theme song for the renegade faction formed by the NXT first season graduates known as The Nexus.

12 Stones Album
12 Stones is the eponymous debut album from the American rock band 12 Stones. It was released on April 23, 2002 by Wind-up Records.

World Wrestling Entertainment used some of the songs for promotional purposes. “Home” was the song for the WWE Desire video for Kurt Angle. “Broken” was used for the WWE Judgment Day pay-per-view in May 2002. Songs “Running out of Pain” and “Back Up” were used on Cheating Death, Stealing Life – The Eddie Guerrero Story. The song “Back Up” was also used in the promo for Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H in in a Cell at Bad Blood 2004. It was also originally written to be used as an entrance song for The Rock, but was not used as it was too different from what he had been using. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at Number 147. The album have sold over 500,000 copies and certified gold world wide

Good Morning NOLA!   It ‘s a cloudy day but we should see some sun a little bit later today.  Our high for today is back up in the eighties.  It has definitely been a little warm lately. Our lows overnight are only falling into the sixties.  Watch out for the early morning fog.  Sunday gives us our first significant chance of rain but then only thirty percent.  We are looking at a typical springtime week ahead.  There are lots of activities coming up to keep us plenty busy. All festivals are fixing to swamp us.  March, April and May are when the bulk of them take place.  I will be back on Jackson Square for the weekend at the 1850s House Store.  I just love the energy in the Square and apparently people love my book “If I Were A French Quarter Rat”.  Come out and see me if you are around.  Whatever you decide to do today, enjoy!
