French is the language of cooking in Cajun Country, where French Acadians from Nova Scotia settled after being exiled by the British in 1755. Some of Louisiana’s most famous foods are identified with this region – gumbo, boudin, étouffée, andouille, tasso, jambalaya, and boiled crawfish.

Yes, the colors are red and white for ULouisiana’s school, but I consider orange to be better because the logo sticks out. It used to be the main school for the University of Louisiana system, but to avoid confusion with UL-Monroe, its placename is added; the university used to be called University of Southern Louisiana. Now just to be clear, this is not the fight song of Lafayette College of Pennsylvania.
The fight song somehow grows on you because it sounds like the song is meant to give the heebie-jeebies to anyone not attending the school-especially if you are in a Sun Belt Conference school!
Hope you like, subscribe, and remember the rules….

When Lewis and Clark where appointed to explore the Louisiana Purchase they made Transcontinental Travel possible, but what exactly is that?
Transcontinental Travel is just what it says. It is being able to travel right across a continent. A good example is Europe where you can be in Western Turkey and then drive East and be in Asia very shortly. You can also drive right across a continent like Europe or even North America. There are millions of miles of paved roads today that allows us to be able to do this.
